While learning how to say ‘Go to sleep’ in Hindi, you have to take care a bit about the person or persons whom you are addressing. There would be various cases differentiating them–they may be more than one; authority and relationship differences, etc.
To make things a bit clearer, I have provided couple of options that you can use:
Option I
This option can be used when the addressee is of your age; similar in status or shares an intimate informal relationship with you. You should not use this expression to an elder person.
To make it easy, you can choose to skip the 2nd and 3rd word from the phrase and just say ‘सोने जाओ’.
Option II
This option is more formal and has a sense of respect in the last word. This expression can be used while addressing elders, seniors, etc. Note that all the words are same except the last one.
To make it easy, you can choose to skip the 2nd and 3rd word from the phrase and just say ‘सोने जायें’.
